- Contributors: Sites that charge a lot of money for images have to pay out a lot of money to the people who make images for them. They also have to manage the accounting and delivery of payments. More cost added.
- Loyalty: So many people who buy images just "feel" secure buying from the same website over and over again. So the idea of trying another website, in the mind of a buyer, is extra work. Even if the stock photo buyer is spending ten times the amount of money, they are unlikely to change their habits.
